PPRD Questions

Tasks:
The fashion industry is based on predicting the future, but is there a future for British Fashion?

There will always be a future for British fashion, irregardless of the sucess and influence of other, worldwide designers and materials, as fashion is an integral part of culture - as long as there are people wearing clothes, there is fashion!

An exhibition in Italy on modern intelligent fibres, including a fabric made of electrically conductive fibres that can detect pressure combined with its ultra light weight has numerous potential applications.

This is a company created by the British Fashion Council made up of ethical deisgner fashion labels. These 37 designers have to honour the principals of organic, fair trade or recycled.

I've posted this picture due to the Mail article -

"The sickening conspiracy that is the fashion industry"

This article discusses the decision that it will not ban very skinny models from being hired for London Fashion Week next month.As a designer myself i would rather have healthy size 12 models for my collection, i find the attitude that models "are just coat hangers" nonsence. Your models display your image, your idea, your work and i would rather have a model that is a real size as a representation of my work with a real womans figure in mind than a gaunt size zero.

Brief summary of content, what issue of fashion does it best relate to? Celebrity due to adverts on trends and who's wearing what? and where are the places to be.

How can it help you? I can join a mailing list so i can know hints and tips on what trade shows or new designers, fabric and styles are coming into fashion.

What is it promoting?I can search through types, places and hierachy.
Brief summary of content, what issue of fashion does it best relate to? Aregistration form needs to be completed then a team will search through jobs that relate to your cv and specifications on the form.
How can it help you? They have experiance with what jobs would fit in with my details.
